Grow at your own pace,
from your own space.
Ever catch yourself thinking, “Why did I do that… again?”
Welcome to being human.
Have you ever noticed how you can know exactly what you want to do… and somehow end up doing the complete opposite?
Maybe you told yourself today will be different — and then found yourself reaching for a substance, a drink, your phone, or a familiar numbing habit before you even realized you’d made the choice.
Maybe you wanted to be present for someone you care about — and instead you felt yourself pull away, go blank, or get irritable without understanding why.
Maybe you desperately want to reach your goals — but when stress spikes, some deeper instinct reaches for whatever used to bring relief.
None of this is random. None of this means you’re “weak,” “broken,” or “self-sabotaging.”
These reactions are signals — from parts of you that learned to protect you long before you had the tools you have now.
In therapy, we make space to understand why these parts show up the way they do — especially the ones that react fast, shut down, get overwhelmed, or use substances or behaviors to cope. Together, we help your internal system work with itself instead of against itself, so your protectors can soften, collaborate, and share their wisdom with you rather than take over.
When your inner world moves toward the same goals, life begins to feel clearer, calmer, and more aligned. And change — the real, sustainable kind — becomes possible.
Welcome, I’m Dr. Tanya.
I’m a Registered Psychologist who works with trauma, addictive processes, and the internal patterns that show up when life feels overwhelming or confusing. My approach is warm, steady, and grounded in curiosity — never judgment.
People often find their way to me when they’re feeling stuck, reacting without understanding why, or caught in patterns that don’t match the life they want. Together, we slow things down, explore what’s happening inside, and build an internal environment where real change becomes possible.
I work with adults across Alberta through secure virtual sessions, and I welcome every part of you — even the ones you’re unsure about.
